So, I was just reading this book on potty training that my friend let me borrow. Talk about stressful. I already put it away, because it was giving me a headache. Anyway, one tip was to put the kiddo on the potty first thing in the morning after getting up. I thought about it. Right now, first thing in the morning, we get Eli out of his crib, he shouts out "Mama!" or "Da!", and then asks where the other parent is. Then, he snuggles in bed with us. This is seriously one of my favorite times of the day. And, on mornings where I don't have to race off to work, and we can cuddle for longer, I love it even more. He has to smush his little self right up along side my body, as close as he can. And, he almost has me hanging off the bed, because he is pushed up so close to me. I seriously love it. And, I hope that we can just make room on the bed for the new baby to cuddle with us, because I don't want this morning cuddle moment to ever stop.
So, for now, we will put off the "morning first thing is a trip to the potty" thing and stick with our normal routine of first thing in the morning cuddle time...simply because I love it.
