I remember the days back in college or med school when I would do great on a test or finally finish a rotation, and think to myself, "I did it!" I always felt such a sense of accomplishment.
These days, I get that same feeling over quite different accomplishments. The other day, I got both of the children fed and put down for a nap. As I watched Annie close her little eyes and peeked in on Eli sleeping, I thought, "I did it!" And, it felt pretty darn great.
Then, naptime got a little crazy. I never can decide how to use naptime the best...should I exercise, sleep, shower, or eat? It's a toss up. But, the other day, Meg and I decided to make the children teepees. We worked as fast as we could, until mom's sewing maching ran out of thread, and we couldn't figure out how to re-thread it. But, I am so excited about our teepees!

I hope Eli loves it, too. And, I hope that one day, it is filled with memories of story-time and make-believe, and of tears and laughter. And, furthermore, I hope it holds up well enough to last until then! Let the adventures begin...
